The EIT – Project Coordinator is responsible to contribute to the project management and administration of shallow utility distribution design / build projects. Effective collaboration and communication with multiple internal and external stakeholders is required to progress projects through all project stages.

The role works closely with the Project Management Team, Principal Engineer, Design Lead, Quality Control team and Construction Team to contribute to design/build projects wherever needed. They will help to ensure projects are delivered on time, and all financial, quality and turnover documents are completed and distributed correctly.

The EIT-Project Coordinator may be required to provide support to other Iconic teams as needed, based on project workload.   Directly reports to the Manager, Program and Client Management.


  • Completion of a degree in a related engineering field.
  • Current registration or eligible for registration with APEGA as an EIT and working towards a P.Eng. is a requirement.
  • Prior experience working in the Utility industry, either in a construction, project coordination or design/engineering related role, is preferred.


  • Utilize strong organizational skills to gather, interpret and sort multiple sources of data.
  • Create templates, forms, and reports as required.
  • Analyze, summarize, and report project data as required, including entering and reporting data into corporate systems such as Sage.
  • Execute to multiple program and project related deadlines and deliverables, including month end financial reporting, client reporting and submissions, and project schedule updates and delivery.
  • Identify financial, schedule and quality related project risks and contribute to solutions to mitigate or resolve them.
  • Coordinate the review and storage of project documentation including circulations, designs, as-built documents, financial details, and acceptance certificates.
  • With oversight from the Project Manager and Engineer, coordinate and track the change management process, including review of technical drawings compared to quoted scope and work completed, identification of out-of-scope items, preparation of RFIs, preparation of change orders.
  • Review and understand project and program related designs, BOMs, schematics, construction execution plans, LEMS, guidelines and specifications.
  • Assist with coordination of project design/constructability issues, redesign and associated approvals.
