Summary
The Project Material Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation of the Company’s shipping & receiving functions including inventory management of electrical supplies, consumables, and customer owned material.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a materials handling/coordination role
- Forklift truck license considered an asset.
- High School Diploma
Skills
- Knowledge of specifications and practices for high voltage construction, civil earthworks, distribution systems and financial acumen will be of benefit,
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures in a safety focused workplace.
- Excellent organization and planning skills. There are multiple client reporting formats and fast-moving workplace.
- Proficient communicator who can present well and influence others when appropriate.
- Able to understand work-based problems and analyze them to develop appropriate solutions.
- Capable planner who can organize the resources at their disposal to achieve the best results.
- Able to manage time and workload efficiently.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite.
Duties
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Project Material Coordinator role is responsible for the efficient operation of the Company’s material and inventory operations including:

- Follow the process for receiving, issuing material and inventory control.
- Perform Inventory counts including panel shop material management.
- Maintain ERP software records for inventory movements.
- Assist with performing inventory counts.
- Provide stock material as requested to lump sum projects.
- Load & offload project materials
- Update all project BOM’s with received material and associated notes.
- Keep warehouse organized and clear of any hazards.
- Ensure the right material is delivered to the right work site on a timely basis.
- Ensure all material receipts and deliveries are documented.
- Ensure all material locations are documented.
