We are currently looking for Foreperson’s in various regions of Ontario.

Summary

The Sub Foreperson fosters an environment of construction execution excellence. The Sub Foreperson will complete activities safely and efficiently all while upholding a strong dedication to quality. The Sub Foreperson are expected to provide front line supervision and on the job worker training as required. They are to ensure workers are adequately qualified and experienced to safely perform tasks that are assigned to them.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as Journeyperson involved in Powerline Construction.
  • Formal Supervisor training is considered an asset.

Skills

  • Knowledgeable in Powerline Construction.
  • Knowledge of live line techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ability to coach and mentor fellow team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.

Duties:

Leadership

  • Uphold core corporate values.
  • Provide positive examples of conduct, safety and mentoring to others.
  • Participate in tailboard meetings with fellow employees.
  • Review project safety & environmental policies & procedures
  • Ensure crew members execute and adhere to work execution plans per design.
  • Monitor workers to ensure they are following instructions, take corrective action where necessary and ensure client standards are being adhered to.

Operations

  • Coordinate with Foreperson to ensure that client needs are being met or exceeded.
  • Identify potential project scope change to Foreperson.
  • Identify and report any hazardous conditions on site.
  • Ensure sites adhere to HSSE standards and remain hazard free.
  • Review all existing and new procedures and/or JSA’s with crew members.
  • Ability to perform day to day tasks of a Powerline Technician

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring every team member is fit for duty and gets home safely.
  • Review and understand corporate policies/procedures.
  • Review and understand project schedule/milestones.
  • Provide afterhours support to crews as needed.
  • Coordinate day to day work scope with Foreperson.
  • Coordinate day to day equipment needs.

Employment Pre-requisites and Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, Class DZ.
