BACKGROUND (PRE-PROJECT COMMENCEMENT)
Iconic Power Systems Inc. (IPS) completed reclamation work in Canmore, AB for AltaLink’s 113L transmission line rebuild project.
ACTION (ICONIC’S SCOPE & DELIVERY)
IPS’s Scope of Work for structures 1 thru 61 varied as each structure had different requirements.
- Bird sweeps
- Recontouring structure base
- Spreading topsoil and debris piles in structure workspace
- Harrow/seed disturbed areas
- Cleaning up gravel piles along the ROW
- Reclaiming access trail(s)
- Spreading pea gravel (or small crush) to walking path entrance
- Hydro-seeding
- Significant rutting on main access road required IPS to re-grade and track-pack
- Heavy decompaction (i.e. ripping/discing)
- Installing water bar channels every 15 – 20 m on significantly sloped sections
- Watercourse crossing / culvert – contour slopes, rip-rap culverts, and hydroseed / mulch crossing banks.
RESULT / SOLUTION
Project completed on time and on budget.
