Summary

The Expeditor & Receiver Coordinator is responsible for expediting assigned purchase orders to ensure all requirements specified in the PO’s are accomplished including delivery, efficient coordination, inspection, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in inventory control, preferably within the construction or electrical industry.

Skills

  • Knowledge of specifications and practices for high voltage construction and financial acumen will be of benefit,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures in a safety focused workplace.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Proficient communicator who can present well and influence others when appropriate.
  • Able to understand work-based problems and analyze them to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Capable planner who can organize the resources at their disposal to achieve the best results.
  • Able to manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Duties

  • Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Expeditor & Receiver Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation of the Company’s procurement processes.
  • Contact supplier to ensure that all goods and dropship purchase orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time.
  • Maintain contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route.
  • Notify the Project Buyer, Project Manager, and Site Supervisor in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late.
  • Receive incoming materials and equipment and compare Information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify the accuracy of the shipment.
  • Expedite purchase orders and update the PO’s as required.
  • Report discrepancies between the packing slips and PO’s to the procurement team.
