Summary

Digitization of programs and data analytics to drive business decisions. Analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Responsible for understanding the business requirements, and configuring, designing, and delivering best-fit solutions. Provide program and IT solutions expertise in  ensuring that an organization's fleet of vehicles operates efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or Finance considered an asset
  • Certificate in Fleet operations and Supply Chain Management.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Fleet program development, strategic consulting, and Fleet related IT solutions.

Duties

Program Management

  • Develop the program scope and objectives based on the business needs and business initiatives.
  • Lead the digitization of Fleet Management.
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of business processes and systems.
  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making.
  • Review recommendations with appropriate interdepartmental management staff to implement appropriate vehicle and heavy equipment acquisitions and disposals.
  • Provide work direction and general program management oversight to ensure that the program meets regional fleet safety compliance.
  • Responsible for the company driver/operator policies, provide operator training for vehicles and equipment, and investigate collisions involving certified operators. Manage legislative requirements related to commercial fleets, which include the National Safety Code, the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, the Alberta Traffic Safety Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures for the efficient management of the fleet vehicles and equipment and software systems.
  • Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and priorities to identify opportunities for improving Fleet services.
  • Oversee, direct, and participate in the development and administration of the assigned program annual budget; participate in the forecast of funds needed; perform cost-analysis, authorize and monitor expenditures, and implement adjustments.

Management

  • Develop and promote effective work programs that incorporates life cycle costing concepts and maximizes the resources available from operating and capital budgets.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize fleet, tool and equipment effectiveness and efficiency.

IT

  • Manage Tool hound application and maximize the use of its capability where required.

HR

  • Direct supervision, hiring and evaluating the work of direct reports. Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
  • Supervise staff to assure accountability and stewardship of resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Prepare, modify, and deliver job descriptions and performance evaluations to direct reports.
