Summary

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor of Iconic Power Systems, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) are implemented and adhered to. Quality Coordinator helps to plan, implement, monitor and review the proactive and preventative measures that the company is required or choose to follow, and works to minimize operational losses whilst maintaining a high standard of quality.

Qualifications

  • College or University Degree in related field and/or Substation Construction Supervision or Journeyperson Experience
  • P. Eng designation is preferred.
  • PMI designation is considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience.
  • 5+ years of managing construction projects.
  • 5+ years of Journeyperson experience in Substation Construction
  • Extensive high voltage construction experience.
  • Regulated Utility experience would be an asset.

Skills

  • PLT designation considered an asset.
  • Journeyperson Electrician with 309A, 442A Endorsment, additional Red Seal Endorsment designation considered an asset.
  • Formal construction management training from a recognized technical institute considered an asset.
  • ISO 9001 or 27001 training considered an asset.
  • ASET qualifications considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of construction experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience quality assurance and quality control experience.
  • Experience in high voltage construction.
  • 3+ years of substation quality assurance.
  • 1+ years providing quality oversight and control in a construction related environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience at the crew lead, foreperson, or supervisor level considered an asset.

Duties

  • Understand client specific quality requirements and implement on project as appropriate.
  • Work with client quality coordinator/ representative to identify, agree and deliver all client related reports.
  • Control, initiate and conduct any inspections and tests required by the ITP.
  • Liaison with and monitor subcontractor installations and quality control processes.
  • Development of project specific ITPs as required.
  • Reviewing and approving of subcontractor ITPs.
  • When on-site support the site supervisor with the receiving and inspection of material.
  • When onsite support the site supervisor with the receiving of client document transmittals.
  • When on-site support the site supervisor in the development of RFI’s. Particularly ones associated with quality specifications and standards.
  • Report and track all deficiencies.
  • Initiating NCRs as required by the QMS.
  • When on-site support the site supervisor with the development and submittal of all contractual project deliverables associated with quality binders and turnover.
  • Attending site meetings when required to represent the company on quality matters.
  • Maintaining quality related folders on the Iconic drives.
  • Attending site meetings when required to represent the company on quality matters.
