Summary

The Truck Driver/Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the movement, post and pre inspections, and assists with the tracking of all company owned assets and rental equipment. The Truck Driver/Equipment Coordinator also helps the Fleet Manager with equipment, building and yard maintenance and repairs. The Truck Driver/Equipment Coordinator is responsible for utilizing his time to optimize performance in delivery and job costs. Assist Fleet Manager with any Fleet related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Class 1 Drivers License
  • High School or GED an asset
  • Valid First Aid/AED Certification
  • Load Securement Certification an asset
  • Minimum 2 years heavy haul experience
  • Minimum 2 years with a Class 1 license

  • Proficient in tractor/trailer operations and maintenance.
  • Tilt deck experience
  • Heavy haul experience and knowledge
  • Proper load securement
  • Strong planning skills
  • General maintenance understanding
  • Able to problem solve
  • Able to work autonomously at times

Duties

  • Complete daily driving logs.
  • Deliver equipment in a safe and timely manner as required.
  • Schedule daily duties.
  • Maintain tractor/trailer unit daily.
  • Maintain equipment for regular maintenance and minor repairs (basic mechanical skills would be a requirement).
  • Yard maintenance as required/when schedule allows (mow lawns, weed control, snow removal, etc).
  • Building maintenance as required (non-mechanical).
  • Maintain workshop area, keep clean and organized.
  • Help Fleet Manager and Coordinator track equipment and tools.
  • Complete reports as needed.
  • May include weekend work on an as required basis. Basic working hours are Mon-Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm, but are subject to change based on site delivery needs.
